According to thermodynamic principles, the energy required to evaporate 1 liter of water at 0°C is approximately 860 kcal, which translates to about 1 kW of electrical energy
Most of these dryers utilize thermal methods, such as hot air or heat sources, to dry sludge. In some cases, a heat pump is added to reduce energy use. However, when heat interacts with organic sludge, it increases viscosity, causing the sludge to stick. As drying continues and adhesion increases, sludge particles often become airborne as dust, requiring additional dust collection and washing equipment. Even with these systems, achieving an efficiency level above 60% is challenging.
DespiteThis graph clearly demonstrates that the ELODE+NVD system delivers unmatched energy efficiency compared to traditional thermal drying methods. Here are the key points that you, as our valued customer, should focus on when considering the exceptional energy savings provided by the ELODE+NVD system.
Traditional thermal drying systems consume 0.617–1.2 kWh of energy to remove 1 kg of water, which results in substantial energy costs. However, the ELODE+NVD system can achieve the same level of water removal with only 0.28 kWh/kg. This means drastically reduced energy expenses for your business, as well as a significant contribution to environmental preservation.
The graph illustrates the performance of ELODE+NVD under different pressure conditions (200 kPa, 400 kPa, 600 kPa, 1200 kPa). Regardless of the pressure applied, the ELODE+NVD system maintains consistently low energy consumption. This flexibility ensures that it can be tailored to meet your specific operational requirements and deliver optimal efficiency under a variety of conditions.
Reduced energy consumption not only lowers operating costs but also reduces carbon emissions. For companies aiming to achieve carbon neutrality, the ELODE+NVD system is an ideal choice. Its high energy efficiency strengthens your commitment to sustainability and enhances your brand image as a responsible, eco-conscious company.
The ELODE+NVD system offers more than just cost savings; it provides a clear advantage over competitors still relying on traditional thermal drying methods. Its superior energy efficiency makes it an economical and eco-friendly solution. By adopting this system, you can enhance your competitive position in the market, maximize long-term cost savings, and boost profitability.
The ELODE device employs DC 3-phase phase control technology and integrates three simultaneous technologies: electro-osmosis, electro-permeation, and electrophoresis. With a specially designed drum and caterpillar mechanism, it isolates and removes ‘free water, interstitial water, and cell water’ contained in sludge, completing the process within 2 minutes.
Although powered by DC, ELODE operates on the principle of electron movement (positive and negative), which prevents adhesion issues and enables the production of high-quality sludge cake. The system eliminates 99% of bacteria and preserves the calorific value of the organic matter, offering several other notable benefits.
The ELODE+NVD system achieves greater energy efficiency with larger equipment sizes. Below are examples of energy consumption in different cases
