ELODE+NVD is BLUEWIN’s full-scale, low-energy sludge reduction process engineered to overcome the “Glue Zone” (60–80% moisture), where conventional mechanical dewatering typically stalls. By integrating triple electrokinetic mechanisms (electro-osmosis, electro-penetration, and electro-migration transport), ELODE rapidly releases water beyond the free-water range and boosts cake dryness from approximately 18–20% DS to 45–60% DS within minutes. NVD then completes low-energy finishing to achieve around 10% final moisture (up to 90% DS). The result is a warm, porous, hygienically stable cake with dust-free and odor-free operation, significant reductions in hauling and disposal volumes, and major cuts in energy use and CO₂ emissions.
